Brontë Literary Salon with Dr Penny Bradshaw
In the week of Branwell’s birthday, join us for an intimate talk focusing on Branwell and the Lakeland Poets. Dr Bradshaw will talk about Branwell’s letter to Wordsworth, on loan from the Wordsworth Trust, and displayed in the Bonnell Room; Branwell’s friendship with Hartley Coleridge; and wider influences such as Lake Poet John Wilson, who wrote for Blackwoods Magazine. There will be an opportunity to view some of Branwell’s manuscripts in the Museum’s library after the talk.
Tickets £20/£17.50 concessions and Brontë Society members – includes a glass of wine. Places are limited, so early booking is advised. Please book in advance at www.bronte.org.uk/whats-on or 01535 640192.
