Summer Arts Events: A series of arts events during August will give visitors the opportunity to see artists at work. All events are free on admission to the museum. Monday 4 August: Artist Lesley Martin will be working with visitors to create a giant artwork on the Parsonage front lawn made from natural materials collected from the area. Visitors are invited to bring along their own materials found on walks on the moors. Lesley Martin will also be giving a talk in the graveyard on plants found growing there and their natural uses. Tuesday 12 August: Special photography project with artist Kate Potter will record twenty-first century visitors as Charlotte, Emily and Anne using traditional photographic techniques. Friday 22 August: Chainsaw artist Dominic Clare will be creating a sculpture from a tree felled in the Parsonage garden earlier this year. The tree was believed to have been planted by Charlotte Brontė on the occasion of her marriage. Wednesday 27 & Thursday 28 August: Puppetry theatre company Frolicked will be performing a specially commissioned show in and around the Brontė Parsonage Museum.
