Join Rachel Dodds from Seven Stories, as she delves into the archives of The National Centre for Children's Books. She’ll explore the significant role that women have played over the last century in shaping an inspiring and creative platform for future generations of writers and illustrators. 
 
This fascinating collection of work includes Leila Berg, a pioneer in representing working-class families; Sita Brahmachari, who writes heartfelt stories of social and environmental justice; and Judith Kerr, who overcame a journey through Europe to find a new home.

Rachel Dodds is Education and Business Development lead at Seven Stories. With over a decade of experience in education, she’s passionate about bringing stories to life for children and adults alike. 
 
Through her work at Seven Stories, Rachel has successfully launched an education programme that’s reached over 6000 students in the last academic year, each child having had the opportunity to see and handle original artwork from The National Centre for Children’s Books archive. She’s also forged new relationships with local and national partners and delivered a successful professional development training programme to teachers and students from across the region.
