Exploring our industrial history and its effect on the Brontës' work
Guided Walk (AS/A2)
This short walk gets behind the mythology to explore the kind of busy, workaday village Haworth would have been in the Brontës' day. Despite its proximity to the moors, Haworth was neither remote nor isolated, but witnessed much of the turmoil of industrialisation. Though little of the Brontës' work addresses this directly, did these changes impact on their work in other ways?
