Wings of Desire
25 May - 23 July 2018
Kate Whiteford was commissioned to produce Wings of Desire, a video work exploring Emily Brontë’s hawk Nero. Using aerial photography and film, Kate produced a birds-eye view of the landscape around the Parsonage and across the moors to Top Withins mediating upon the iconography of the bird of prey, its metaphorical properties, and associations with fight and flight, escape and predation.
The exhibition was accompanied by a series of new works on paper, by Kate Whiteford.
